Wheel-thrown tumbler, carved and inlaid with porcelain to resemble a barn owl using a mishima technique. Made with a blend of midfire stoneware, an interior shino glaze, and metallic moon.
Each mishima piece involves hand carving a design at the leather-hard stage, inlaying a porcelain slip, and carving away the excess to create one smooth surface.
Dishwasher safe, though handwashing is recommended. Please note that the metallic detail makes this piece unsafe for the microwave.
